Lawrence Kahn
Lawrence Kahn, CEO, is CEO and Director of ProOne Holdings, Inc., a manufacturer of proprietary breakthrough environmentally friendly lubrication and fuel technologies, and is a co-founder of ProOne Water Technologies LLC since it was established in 2019. Mr. Kahn served as Vice President, Marketing for Armor All Products Corporation, where he also served as Vice President, New Product Development. Mr. Kahn earned his MBA in Marketing and Finance from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Dr. Rick Cardin
Rick Cardin, Ph.D., President, is a co-founder of PWT. He serves on the Board of Advisors of exciting environmentally friendly growth companies, including ProOne Holdings. His service as a public company Director has been commended by ISS / Risk Metrics. He is author or co-author of books on conflict of interest in securities, the U.S. health care system, entrepreneurship, business finance and recycling. He founded a publicly traded franchisor acquired by Pacific Equities. Dr. Cardin was formerly a Director and Partner of the Cambridge Research Institute, an international strategy consulting firm where several of his partners were department chairmen at Harvard Business School. Dr. Cardin earned his Doctorate in Finance and MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he also served on the international finance faculty.
Dr. Wayne Spani
Wayne Spani, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer, developed and patented the ALT-19 advanced liquid treatment and oxidation method and system technology now assigned to PWT. He also holds patents related to membrane technology and reverse osmosis, saltwater intrusion prevention systems (developed for the Panama Canal operations of the US Army Corp of Engineers, in coordination with the World Bank), and multiple detection and monitoring systems. He has extensive field experience developing RO systems and ancillary equipment for desalination in Saudia Arabia and use in food, dairy and juice for a Danish company. Dr. Spani has also developed oxygen-from-the-air extraction systems. For Arrowhead Industrial Water he developed ultra-pure water systems for chip manufacturing. For Water Purification Systems he developed and designed water systems for hyper-pure water, wastewater, potable water, and raw water. He has developed the movable test trailer PWT will use for field trials. Dr. Spani earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics, minoring in Molecular Physics, his MS in Mechanical Engineering, and his BS in Organic Chemistry at San Diego State University.
Christopher Hellmich
Christopher Hellmich, Chief Legal Counsel, founder of Hellmich Law Group, is a former Patton Boggs LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs) commercial litigation partner with strong experience handling government contracting and complex national and international litigation. During his fourteen years at Patton Boggs, he was part of the firm’s international dispute resolution group where he formed, managed and led teams of outside attorneys and multi-disciplinary professionals on matters from antitrust and banking to product liability and white-collar crime. Mr. Hellmich’s current practice includes advising clients on litigation and arbitration matters and he provides outside general counsel services. For the last fifteen years, he has served as a pro bono outside general counsel to ForAfrika, Africa’s largest indigenous NGO that provides emergency relief and sustainable food security solutions across the continent. Mr. Hellmich served on active duty in the U.S. Army as a JAG officer. His honors and achievements include, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals, Southwest Asia Service Ribbon, Airborne, Air Assault, Armor Officer Basic Course, and JAG Officer Basic Course.
Dr. Shan Yong
Shan Yong, Ph.D., Consultant, works with PWT to provide strategic, technical, and business development advice including: technical assistance/troubleshooting, review of technical written materials, recommendations for strategic direction, and introduction and cultivation of potential consultants, team members, suppliers, partners, clients and funding sources. Dr. Yong was a project manager for Veolia North America where she drove and supported the internal company innovation process and the global search for and evaluation of new water technologies, and acceleration of integration of potential technology candidates. Dr. Yong has worked with numerous local and international startups and water technology conglomerates like SembCorp Industries, SafBon Shanghai, Aquafortus, zNano etc., to provide strategic advice, business development, and technological solutions related to improving water quality. She is also on the team at Diamond Gold Investors, a Nevada based family office. Dr. Yong earned her Ph.D. and MS and MA degrees in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Yale University, a Master of Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT, and a BA in Environmental Engineering from Univ of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
Dr. Jerome Delli Priscoli
Jerome Delli Priscoli, Ph.D., Board of Advisors, was for over 40 years Senior Advisor US Army Corps of Engineers at the Institute for Water Resources. He served as a Governor and member of the Executive Bureau of the World Water Council. In 2016 Dr Delli Priscoli became Chair of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Technical Committee. He is on the board of Governors of the World Water Council. He is on the UN Secretary General’s Advisory Committee on Water and Sanitation and its Water and Disasters high level panel (HLP) chaired by former Prime Minister of Korea. Dr. Delli Priscoli has been advisor to the World Bank and all of the UN water related agencies and IFI’s on water policy issues, and works closely with Water Ministers throughout the world. He was an original member of the U.S. delegation to the Middle East multilateral peace talks on water. He co-chaired the DG of UNESCO’s world commission on Water and Freshwater Ethics. He is the Editor in Chief of the international peer reviewed journal Water Policy. He facilitates many of the dialogs among diplomats, senior political leaders and NGOs in the World Water Forums. Dr. Delli Priscoli’s list of lectures and publications extends to over thirteen pages, including the book Water and Civilization. He had and continues to introduce PWT to key national and international water decision makers. He earned his Ph.D. from Georgetown University in International Politics and Government (dissertation on River Basin Organizations).
